Kgothatso Sethole

Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Kgothatso Sethole is a seasoned finance professional with over seven years of experience. She joined AFAP as a Finance Officer in 2019, where she is responsible for managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Prior to joining AFAP, Kgothatso served as a Compliance Officer and Compliance Team Leader for The Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria grant at Right to Care NPC for three years. In this role, she oversaw the financial reporting of over fifteen NGOs, ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.

Kgothatso began her career in finance at KPMG South Africa, where she worked as an Audit Associate for three years, gaining experience in audit, accounting, and financial reporting. She also served as a Finance and Administrative Officer at the Wits Health Consortium, where she provided financial and administrative support to the organization’s research and health programs.

Kgothatso holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). Kgothatso is also currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) at the University of Pretoria.
