Ladé Araba

Vice President, Financial Services

Ladé Araba has over 20 years of experience as a senior Development Finance Executive and Board Member. Currently, she serves as Vice President of Financial Services at the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP), where she also directs the Trade Credit Guarantee Program. Previously, Ladé worked as a Sustainable Finance Consultant with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and served as the Executive Director of AlphaMundi Foundation.

Her experience extends to her role as Managing Director for Africa at Convergence Blended Finance and as a member of the Equality Fund’s Investment Advisory Council. She holds a Non-Executive Director position on the Board of African Risk Capacity (ARC) Ltd, where she leads the Finance and Investment Committee, and she co-founded the Visiola Foundation, serving as its President.

Additionally, Ladé has contributed her expertise as an Advisory Committee Member at the Green Outcomes Fund and as an Adviser in the Power Sector Team at the Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (NIAF). Her earlier roles include serving as a Senior Investment Officer in Infrastructure Finance at the African Development Bank and as a Technical Adviser to the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Africa.

Ladé began her career as an Enterprise Development Specialist at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and later worked for the QED Group LLC in Washington, DC. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management and dual Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degrees in Management Information Systems (MIS) and International Business from the University of Oklahoma (2001). Fluent in French and Italian, Ladé also has basic proficiency in Spanish.
