Paddington Muskwe, CA(SA), ACCA, is a seasoned finance professional with a wealth of experience spanning various sectors. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Sciences from UNISA, a BSc Honors in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, and an Advanced Diploma in Accounting Sciences from UNISA. Professionally, he is a Member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) as a Chartered Accountant South Africa [CA(SA)] and a Member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Paddington’s career journey began in the banking industry in Zimbabwe at Afrasia Bank Zimbabwe Limited, where he progressed from a Backoffice Clerk to a Recoveries and Compliance Officer. He honed his skills in auditing, compliance, and risk management, demonstrating a keen understanding of financial operations and regulatory requirements.

Upon relocating to South Africa, Paddington joined Levitt Kirson Chartered Accountants, where he excelled as a Senior Audit Manager. In this role, he led audit teams, built strong client relationships, and provided valuable insights to organizations across the public and private sectors. His expertise in audit and financial management contributed to the success of numerous engagements.

Paddington’s career trajectory led him to The Aurum Institute NPC, one of the largest non-profit organizations in South Africa, where he served as the Head of Finance (Shared Services and Core). In this capacity, he oversaw financial operations, strategic planning, and budget management for projects funded by prominent organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), USAID, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).

His proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and strategic decision-making has been instrumental in navigating complex funding structures and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. Additionally, Paddington’s commitment to excellence extends beyond his professional endeavors, as evidenced by his involvement in academia and community service.

With his extensive experience and qualifications, Paddington Muskwe brings a wealth of expertise to the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) as its Vice President of Finance. His dedication to continuous learning and professional development underscores his commitment to excellence in the field of finance.
