Sergio Ussaca
Sergio Ussaca is a highly skilled agricultural specialist and manager with over 16 years of experience in Mozambique. He currently serves as a member of AFAP’s Maputo office. With a strong background in agribusiness, Ussaca’s career has taken him through a diverse range of positions in the private sector, NGOs, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Maputo.
Before joining AFAP, Ussaca served as a senior policy advisor for private-sector development and agribusiness. He has extensive experience working in the Nacala and Beira corridors, as well as Nampula. He has contributed to the development of various projects related to agriculture, conservation farming, micro-finance, and local seed multiplication techniques.
Ussaca holds a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the Catholic University of Mozambique and a diploma in agriculture production and livestock from the Agricultural College of Boane. With his wealth of knowledge and experience, he is an asset to AFAP’s mission to promote agricultural transformation across Africa.
