Tom Kehoe is a leading figure in the philanthropic sector, with a wealth of experience in commercial and management roles. As the current leader of the foundations program on Africa, he brings a unique blend of expertise to the organization.
At the foundation, Tom is responsible for overseeing a range of initiatives designed to boost farmer productivity and promote sustainable market linkages in Africa. He has been instrumental in strengthening investment portfolios and building strategic partnerships that promote lasting change across the continent.
Before joining the foundation in 2015, Tom served as managing director for Cargill in its Africa and Middle East Business Unit. In this role, he played a key role in developing and growing farm-focused businesses across the African continent. Prior to this, he led Cargill’s farm distribution and origination strategy in the Black Sea region and in North America.
Tom’s extensive experience in the private sector has given him a deep understanding of the complex challenges facing African farmers and agribusinesses. His unique perspective and strategic leadership have been instrumental in driving progress towards a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future for the region.
