LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – The African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) in Zambia is actively engaging farmers through a series of ongoing meetings at strategically established demonstration plots across the country. This initiative demonstrates AFAP’s ability to collect last-mile data and support grassroots agricultural development and strengthening the input value chain by providing farmers with practical, hands-on learning opportunities.

The core of this initiative lies in the demonstration plots. Developed in close collaboration with leading agricultural input suppliers – FSG, Seedco, Bayer, Corteva Agriscience, Afriseed, and Synergy Seeds – these plots showcase the real-world performance of improved agricultural technologies. Farmers attending the meetings can directly observe differences in crop growth based on various high-quality seeds, tailored fertilizer applications, and modern crop protection techniques.

These plots serve as vital learning hubs, enabling farmers to assess the suitability and potential benefits of these inputs for their own farms before making critical investment decisions.
