MAPUTO, MOZAMBIQUE – April 2025 was an active month for AFAP Mozambique’s field teams, marked by the continued implementation of demonstration plots and farmer field days across multiple districts. This ongoing work highlights AFAP’s sustained commitment to bringing practical agricultural knowledge directly to farmers throughout the country.

These sites are carefully prepared to showcase best-fit agricultural practices, improved seed varieties, and effective soil management techniques relevant to the specific agro-ecological zones where they are located. They serve as foundational tools for future learning.

Concurrently, AFAP Mozambique facilitated numerous farmer field days, leveraging demonstration plots established earlier. These interactive events allowed farmers to observe crop progress, discuss the demonstrated technologies with technical experts and peers, and gain practical insights applicable to their own farms. Holding field days ensures that the investment in demonstration plots translates into active learning and knowledge dissemination.
