AFAP Engages with Mobile Input Vendors to Strengthen Last-Mile Delivery of Agri-Inputs
MAPUTO, MOZAMBIQUE – To improve the accessibility of vital agricultural inputs for farmers in remote areas, AFAP Mozambique is implementing targeted support for input vendors utilizing mobile sales strategies. Recognizing that many farmers reside far from established agro-dealer shops, AFAP is focusing on strengthening these flexible, mobile distribution networks.
AFAP Mozambique personnel are visiting input vendors directly at their points of sale – often temporary stalls or designated stations within rural and peri-urban communities. This direct engagement allows AFAP to better understand the unique challenges faced by mobile vendors and tailor support accordingly. While specific activities may vary, this support often aims to enhance vendors’ operational efficiency, product knowledge, or linkages within the supply chain.
