AFAP Mozambique and Bayer Continue Field Days to Promote Improved Input Use
MAPUTO, MOZAMBIQUE – AFAP Mozambique, in collaboration with Bayer, is continuing its series of agricultural field days aimed at promoting the adoption of improved inputs and best practices among smallholder farmers. These field days are part of the ongoing AFAP–Bayer partnership, which focuses on enhancing productivity through knowledge transfer and increased access to quality agro-inputs.
Held across key agricultural zones, the field days bring together farmers, agro-dealers, extension agents, and input suppliers to demonstrate the practical benefits of using certified seeds, crop protection products, and appropriate fertilizer application. Through side-by-side plot comparisons, participants are able to see first-hand the impact of improved inputs on crop performance.
The events also serve as platforms for interactive learning, where farmers engage with technical experts on topics such as pest and disease management, climate-resilient practices, and safe product handling. Agro-dealers play an active role by linking farmers to input supply channels, ensuring continuity beyond the demonstration plots.
