AFAP Uganda Establishes Demonstration Sites to Promote Best Agronomic Practices

11 Jun 2025

KAMPALA, UGANDA – This planting season, the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) Uganda established demonstration garden sites across multiple regions of the country. The initiative focuses on key crops such as maize, vegetables, and tubers, with an emphasis on proper spacing, timely planting, and improved agronomic practices to support healthy crop growth and a successful harvest by June/July 2025.

The demonstration sites are designed as practical learning hubs, where farmers can observe and adopt effective techniques using agro-inputs supplied by Grainpulse Limited, Osho Chemical Industries Ltd, Syngenta, and Seedco Group. These collaborations aim to improve farmer knowledge, input use efficiency, and overall productivity.

This activity is supported by the Africa Fertilizer Financing Mechanism (AFFM) through the African Development Bank Group.
