Dr. Namanga Ngongi retires as AFAP Chairman
It is with a heart of gratitude that AFAP announces the retirement of Dr. Namanga Ngongi. This follows after nine years of outstanding and dedicated leadership as the founding Chairman of the AFAP Board.
Dr. Namanga spearheaded the creation of AFAP in 2012 and was appointed as Chairman in July 2012. The AFAP family is deeply indebted to Dr. Namanga. Under his leadership, AFAP grew from a single project program into a multi-country pan Africa organization with footmarks in 19 Sub-Saharan African countries.
“It has been a great honor to be part of a team of distinguished professionals who have immensely contributed to the transformation of AFAP into a household brand in SSA fertilizer agribusinesses fraternity. I am deeply proud but humbled by what AFAP has become. I am also happy and reassured that I am passing the baton to a professional colleague, D. Nteranya Sanginga, a man I have profound regard and respect for. I am confident that the new leadership will steer the organization to greater heights. God Bless AFAP”, said Dr. Ngongi during his address at the AFAP Board meeting in July this year.
