What is The African Fertilizer Volunteers Program (AFVP)

The African Fertilizer Volunteers Program (AFVP) has been created to empower and improve the lives of African entrepreneurs (SMEs). We identify, train and mentor SMEs in the agriculture inputs and agribusiness value chain. This develops their leadership, technological and business skills to support deal-making and business acceleration in the African mainstream agricultural economy.

Using the best of local knowledge, AFVP volunteers provide technical skills, mentorship and training directly to communities in need.

Run jointly by the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) and the International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA), the program recognizes volunteers and sponsors as a critical part of our service in SME Capacity Building within the Fertilizer and Agribusiness value chain.

Vision
Connecting and strengthening SMEs through capacity building and volunteering
