AFAP has its headquarters in South Africa, where it provides structural support to its operations across the continent. The organization has a dedicated finance office that oversees financial operations, a communications department that handles media and public relations, and a Project Management Unit that manages projects across the continent.

AFAP also has divisional heads who oversee the organization’s different units, including market development services, financial support services, and agribusiness partnerships. These divisional heads work closely with country directors to ensure the smooth running of operations in the different African countries.

While AFAP currently does not have any ongoing projects in South Africa, the organization is open to exploring opportunities for local projects that align with its mission of supporting African smallholder farmers.  Given the importance of agriculture in South Africa’s economy, there may be opportunities for AFAP to provide its expertise and services in the country.
